Sand Mandala Master / Master In buddhist Philosohy

Geshe Tenzin Lungtok is a bona fide member and monk of Gaden Sharste Monastery. He was born on 10th December 1980 at Mundgod, Karnataka. In the year 1986, when he was just 6 years old, he joined Gaden Shartse Monastery for basic Tibetan and Advanced Buddhist studies and has been a member and resident of this monastery since 1986

He has already completed all of his studies on five major texts of Buddhist Philosophy, namely five years of Pramanavartika-Buddhist Logic Science, five years of Prajnaparamita-The perfection of wisdom, three Years of Madhyamika-The middle way philosophy, two years of Abhi-Dharmakosa-Buddhist Cosmology and Metaphysics, two years of Vinaya-Monastic disciplines, rules and monk’s vows and was given the position of Geshe (Master In Buddhist Philosophy) in the year 2019.Besides Buddhist Philosophy, He is a master at creating Different types Sand mandalas, different chants with melodious tunes used during prayer and rituals. He will be performing the duties of Sand Mandala Master during the tour of USA.

He is a fully ordained monk and received the vows from H.H the Dalai Lama in the year 2006. Besides that, he received many initiations, empowerments and oral transmissions from His Holiness the Dalai Lama and many root gurus of our monastery including Kyabje Lati Rinpoche, Kyabje Zong Choktrul Rinpoche, Kyabje Kensur Jampa Yeshi Rinpoche, Kyabje Kensur Kunchok Tsering Rinpoche, Kyabje Dema lochoe Rinpoche, Kyabje Dagyab Tokden Rinpoche. He also attended the acquisition of Yamantaka.

He also studied performing Buddhist high ritual pujas. He is highly skilled in Buddhist Chanting rituals and has many years of experiences of Chanting in the monastery. He also visited to Singapore and Malaysia many times with Khensur Lati Rinpoche and Dagyab Kyabgon Rinpoche to perform Buddhist rituals for monastery, doing all the prayers and rituals to benefit many students. He recently went to USA for tour of the monastery in the year 2017. Besides that, He also served at monastic administration office as chief secretary maintaining the records of Gaden Shartse monastery from the year of 2000 till 2016.
